Osteopathy Services

Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a whole body, hands on healthcare approach that focuses on how your muscles, joints, ligaments and nerves work together to support movement and overall health. Its purpose is to restore optimal alignment and function, allowing the body to heal itself more effectively.

Treatments may include soft‑tissue techniques, joint manipulation, stretching, and tailored exercise or lifestyle advice, all designed to improve mobility, circulation and reduce pain.

We treat conditions such as back and neck pain, headaches, arthritis, sciatica, tendonitis, pregnancy related discomfort, repetitive strain injuries, vertigo and sports injuries, and we may also assist with broader issues where musculoskeletal factors play a role. Benefits often include reduced pain, improved movement, recovery from injury, and support for long‑term wellbeing.

Pregnancy care

Osteopathic care during pregnancy focuses on supporting the physical changes that occur as your body adapts throughout each trimester. Treatment is tailored to your stage of pregnancy and may help with common concerns such as lower back and pelvic pain, sciatica, rib tightness, neck and shoulder tension, headaches, carpal tunnel symptoms and general muscular discomfort.

Using pregnancy appropriate techniques, osteopathy aims to improve mobility, reduce muscular and joint tension, and support comfortable movement as posture, weight distribution and ligament flexibility change.

Our goal is to help you feel more comfortable, supported and confident in your body throughout pregnancy, while providing practical movement and self-care advice where appropriate.

Postnatal care

After birth, osteopathic care can support the body as it recovers from pregnancy and delivery and adapts to the physical demands of caring for a newborn. Treatment may assist with recovery following labour, caesarean birth or perineal trauma, as well as concerns such as pelvic or coccyx pain, abdominal separation, wrist and forearm strain, upper-back and neck tension, and postural fatigue from feeding, lifting and carrying your baby.

Postnatal care may also include tailored rehabilitation, movement guidance and support for gradually returning to everyday activity and exercise.

We can also provide care for breastfeeding related concerns, including blocked ducts, breast discomfort and mastitis, where appropriate. Treatment may incorporate manual techniques and therapeutic ultrasound, alongside appropriate medical or lactation support when needed.

Our focus is on helping you move more comfortably, reduce physical strain and feel supported through the transition into early motherhood.
